The Quitting Smoking Thing

My new page to talk about quitting smoking. I started chapter one (my first blog entry) by talking about my first weeks quitting smoking. Well, I’m a few weeks in, and for three nights in a row, I have not had a cigarette. Am I complaining? No, because I am seriously trying to quit smoking. And that is the goal–to be completely free of cigarettes. Now, if only my b/f would quit smoking too…. I think we’d be happier in the long run.

Chapter 2 is coming up this month–July 13, to be exact, since that day is the one-month anniversary of my original quit date. And, as a bonus, that date is my birthday.

If you’d like to read extra on the subject of quitting smoking, I have a couple of blog posts on the subject. In fact, this’ll be my new page to house my blog posts on quitting smoking.

Give a look at and sign in there…that site helped me quit with great forums, advise, and buddies. I just celebrated my Five Year Quit Anniversary – much due to the help of this important place on the web.

Congratulations on your decision to quit! You are awesome. Your blogging will help a lot. GREAT JOB!

      Hi, pattiredd.

Thank you so much for the support! I’m a member there now, but haven’t yet gone back to take a look. At any rate, congratulations to you on your 5-year quit anniversary! It must take a certain kind of strength to stay with it for that long, a strength which I’m soon about to find out if I have. But I see you do.

You will, you will! Remember, there isn’t any pain to quitting – – just discomfort…quitting is something to be celebrated and loved 🙂
